Star Television and Audio own's the only second Sound Truck in South Africa. It is in the same specification as it’s rival and is being utilized throughout South Africa as a fully stage and sound or a road show unit.  The “Gig-Rig”as affectionately known, consists of a JBL Array Speaker system for front of house with a stage unfolding from within itself with hydraulic rams to form an 6 meter X 8 Meter stage floor covered with a roof high enough for any type of lighting rig or intelligent lights.

The rig is powered by no less than 2 electrical generators housed within the unit itself.  This is an ideal mobile stage unit that can be used anywhere and set up for performance within 2 hours after arrival at the venue.

With ease of operation, it still delivers an impressive punch with it’s large JBL ARRY speaker system  fed by a bank of CREST AUDIO amplifiers. It is a well balanced unit and was used with great success in the past for government events such as imbiso’s where time was of the essence.  The stage opens up into a comfortable 6meter x 8 meters stage with all electrical outlets for instruments at hand. Tie lines from the stage to the equipment bay are all hidden in patch bays under floor at several strategic places. Front of house is handled with a 40 channel Allan Heath  audio desk which can accommodate virtually all type of shows.
 
Power supply is no problem as the rig contains 2 power generators within it’s shell which delivers no less than 96Kw of electricity. This is more than sufficient to manage even a full on show with all lighting and sound driven at it’s maximum.  The rig is no less than 18 meters long and is powered by a Peterbuilt  horse with enough power to get the unit anywhere in South Africa with great ease. With it’s long range fuel tanks, refueling point are cut down to the minimum.   

The rig comes as a standard unit with all on board with the exception of a full lighting rig. Although it is equipped with two dimmer packs, lighting stays a specialized component of any show and therefore each event is unique and requires different type of lighting. However, this is available on request.  This vehicle is unique to its kind and can be utilized for virtually any out door’s event. It can be modified to suit the client’s needs and accommodate even a “road Show”configuration  where the truck is used to promote a product on the move through city streets.
